Privacy Policy for EliteNotes

Last Updated: Jun 10, 2026

EliteNotes ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application available on the Google Play Store.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a personalized note-taking, reminder, and financial management experience, we may collect the following information:

  • Personal Information: When you sign up or log in, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture via Firebase Authentication and Google Identity Services.
  • User Content: We collect and store the notes you create (titles, text, tags, folders) and your financial records (income, expenses, amounts, and categories) in our local database and sync them to our secure servers to ensure data backup and access across devices.
  • Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the app (e.g., features used, time spent) through Firebase Analytics to improve our services and user experience.
  • Device Information: Information about your mobile device (e.g., model, OS version, and unique identifiers like FCM tokens) is collected via Firebase Cloud Messaging to ensure app compatibility and deliver notifications.
  • Security Data (App Lock): If you enable the App Lock feature, we utilize the Android system's secure authentication. We do not store or see your biometric data or device credentials on our servers.

2. Permissions and Their Purpose

EliteNotes requests the following permissions to function correctly:

  • INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to sync your notes and wallet data with our cloud database and allow you to log in to your account.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS: (Required for Android 13+) Used to deliver timely alerts for your scheduled reminders and provide important app updates.
  • USE_BIOMETRIC: Required to provide an extra layer of security via Biometric Authentication (Fingerprint or Face Unlock) for the App Lock feature.
  • REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: This may be requested to ensure your reminders and background sync work reliably without being interrupted by the system's power-saving mode.

3. Third-Party Libraries and Services

We use specific industry-standard libraries to enhance the app's performance and security:

  • Firebase (Auth, Analytics, Messaging): Used for secure user login, understanding app performance, and delivering push notifications for reminders.
  • Google Identity (Credentials & GoogleID): Provides a modern, secure, and seamless "One Tap" login experience using your Google Account.
  • Volley: Facilitates fast and secure network communication (HTTPS) between the app and our database for syncing notes and financial data.
  • Glide: Used for efficient and smooth loading of profile pictures within the app.
  • androidx.biometric: Used to implement secure biometric authentication. EliteNotes does not access, collect, or store your biometric data; authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system.
  • SDP & SSP (Intuit): These libraries ensure that the user interface (text and layouts) is responsive and scales perfectly across all screen sizes.
  • Google Play App Update: Ensures you are always using the latest, most secure version of the app by notifying you of updates within the app.

4. Data Security and Retention

  • Security: We use encryption and secure communication protocols (HTTPS) to protect your data during transfer and storage.
  • App Lock Privacy: Biometric data (Fingerprint/Face) stays within the Android secure hardware and is never shared with us.
  • Retention: Your data, including notes and financial records, is stored as long as your account is active.
  • Data Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data (notes, folders, and wallet records) at any time through the "Delete Account" feature in the app settings. Once deleted, your information is permanently removed from our servers.

5. Children’s Privacy

EliteNotes is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete it.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features or security updates. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
